Rule/Fee/Deadline

Rules:

All submissions must be directed by a citizen of an Asian country bordering the Pacific Ocean and must have been mostly filmed in Asian Pacific countries. All films for the 2026 FAPFF must have been completed in 2025 and be subtitled in English. Films and all related material must be turned in digitally via the festival website. **Communication will be through email.**

 

Asian American countries eligible: the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Polynesia (except Hawaii and New Zealand), Micronesia, Melanesia. 

 

Live Action Short – 5 minutes minimum to 30 minutes maximum

Feature - 45 minutes minimum to 150 minutes maximum

Animation Short – 3 minutes minimum to 20 minutes maximum

Documentary Short - 5 minutes minimum to 30 minutes maximum

 

If accepted, your attendance is not required; however, you will be required to provide a trailer of your film as well as promotional materials in order to secure top viewing times.

 

Films must be submitted in HD (1920 x 1080) format with the H264 High Quality codec. Any frame rate is acceptable. If there are higher resolution versions of the film available, then those versions will be recommended if the film is accepted for the festival.

Fees:

(All Application Fees on the display are US dollars and non-refundable, even if your film is not accepted; payment required while uploading the film.)

      Early Deadline – $90/per film

      Regular Deadline – $120/per film

      Late Deadline – $180/per film

 

   Shorts (Live Action, Documentary, Animated)

      Early Deadline –  $30/per film

      Regular Deadline – $50/per film

      Late Deadline - $70/per film
